Information revolution is transforming the face of the earth with unimaginable realities. The merger of the computer and communication systems play a vital role in developing the 'Knowledge Society' of today. Information Technology is all about collection, classification, storage, retrieval, processing and dissemination of information irrespective of time and place. Information Technology programmes had its inception in Bishop Heber College in the year 2000. For the past twenty one years the department has set a good record of bagging university ranks and placing many students in reputed IT companies.
The Department of Information Technology aims at inculcating values and to provide quality I.T. Education with innovation and creativity to all, especially to the underprivileged by enhancing their professional and social skills and to help in building a stronger India, inspired by the love of Jesus Christ.
